Our Mission

Mission Statement:

At the Student Veteran Resources Center, our mission is to provide unwavering support, guidance, and resources to empower military-affiliated students as they transition from service to successful academic and civilian life. We are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment that honors the sacrifices and unique experiences of our student veterans, active-duty service members, reservists, National Guard members, and military dependents. Through tailored services, comprehensive programs, and a strong sense of camaraderie, we aim to foster personal and academic growth, enhance well-being, and cultivate a strong community of empowered individuals who are poised to excel both in their educational pursuits and beyond.

Our Core Values:

  1. Empowerment: We empower military-affiliated students to achieve their academic and personal goals through comprehensive support and resources, enabling them to thrive in a civilian and academic setting.

  2. Community: We cultivate a sense of belonging and camaraderie among military-affiliated students, creating a supportive network that extends beyond the classroom and contributes to a successful transition to civilian life.

  3. Respect: We honor the diverse backgrounds, experiences, and contributions of our military-affiliated students, promoting a culture of respect, understanding, and appreciation.

  4. Inclusivity: We ensure that all military-affiliated individuals, regardless of their service branch, background, or experiences, feel welcomed, respected, and valued in our center.

  5. Excellence: We are committed to delivering exceptional services, programs, and resources that meet the unique needs of military-affiliated students, setting a standard of excellence that supports their academic success and personal growth.

  6. Collaboration: We collaborate with campus departments, community organizations, and military partners to create a holistic support network that addresses the multidimensional needs of military-affiliated students.

Through our mission and core values, the Student Veteran Resources Center seeks to provide a transformative experience that equips military-affiliated students with the tools, knowledge, and support necessary to excel academically, professionally, and personally, thereby empowering them to achieve their fullest potential and make meaningful contributions to society.
